Job Description:
The Corporate Communications Strategist will work with the executive team from Centerline and SouthWorth,Centerline’s parent company, to shape internal and external messaging, build brand awareness, and manage public relations initiatives. This role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies, managing media relations, and ensuring consistent messaging acrossall platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate communications, PR, and strategic messaging with the ability to engage a variety of audiences.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate communications strategy aligned with business goals.
- Create and manage internal and external communications, including presentations, newsletters, press releases, marketing materials, and executive messages.
- Ensure consistency in messaging across all company communications platforms (website, social media, internal channels).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, HR, leadership) to maintain a unified brand voice.
- Build and manage relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and industry stakeholders to enhance public relations.
- Plan and execute PR campaigns to elevate the company’s reputation and drive media coverage of key initiatives, product launches, and leadership announcements.
- Draft press releases, media kits, and other PR materials, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives and values.
- Manage crisis communications, offering strategic guidance and real-time responses to protect the company’s reputation.
- Represent the company in community initiatives, partnering with local organizations and coordinating community relations efforts.
- Serve as a point of contact for public inquiries, ensuring timely and consistent responses.
- Monitor media coverage and potential PR opportunities.
- Track and report on key performance metrics for communication and PR efforts, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize impact.
requirements & qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, PublicRelations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of media relations, crisis management, and corporate messaging.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with media, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with digital communication platforms and social media strategy is a plus.
